I have over 10 years of diverse experiences with communications, including extensive work in the nonprofit sector.

My professional story:

I am currently working for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as a Social Media Specialist in Nairobi, Kenya. I have helped develop best practices for managing and creating social media content to raise awareness of the UN’s global efforts to protect the planet.

I hold a B.Sc. Degree in Journalism, an M.Sc. in Multimedia, and an M.A. in International Relations. My previous professional roles included communicating with civil society globally with ICNL, urban development with UN-Habitat, and many years in marketing for the tourism sector.

I still have my passion for journalism, and I have continued to cover freelance stories worldwide, including in Ireland, Spain, South Africa, Ecuador, Ukraine, and the United States. Additionally, I am a long-term humanitarian volunteer who has assisted with communications projects, taught refugees, provided aid during the Covid-19 pandemic, and aided medical organizations in Ukraine.

I was certified in Open Sourced Intelligence after completing a course with Bellingcat.
